>> Go << I'm taking the GPS plunge. Now that my son is almost 8, I want to take him on trips -- mostly the outdoor kind. While camping does not necessarily turn me on (unless it's a nice cabin!) I do enjoy hiking, plan to get more into kayaking and also want to do geocaching with my son -- it's like an outdoor treasure hunt. Based on my research the Magellan Meridian Gold and Platinum models are amongst the best for people with common needs. There are cheaper models with less functionality available from Magellan and other manufacturers.

>> Go << This is an excellent hands-free option for cell phones including the Blackberry. Having an earpiece for each ear makes it much easier to hear phone conversations. The control unit integrated into the cord has a volume control and a button that can be used to answer the phone and hang-up after your conversation has ended. If, like me, you have a blackberry in a holster, this means you do not need to remove it to answer and end a call -- very convenient. Note: this unit does have TWO jacks on the end as it is intended to be able to doulbe as a headset for an MP3 player.
